Terms and Conditions

Participant’s responsibilities

  1. All participants must be enrolled with Nupur Arts to attend classes
  2. All members under the age of 18 need parental permission to join Nupur Arts
  3. Please keep us up to date with contact details and any medical conditions that may affect the student in class
  4. Students are to arrive at classes promptly and if late should consult the teacher as to any exercises they should do before joining in the class
  5. All students must wear appropriate clothing and footwear, no socks or tights are permitted whilst dancing. It is Nupur Arts policy for all students to purchase uniform upon enrolment.
  6. If three or more lesson are missed per term, Nupur Arts has the right to exclude the student from performances
  7. Students must be aware that they represent Nupur Arts at all times whilst in classes, performances and rehearsals. Bad language, general misbehaviour, bullying and vandalism of property & equipment are strictly not tolerated.  Any student who displays such behaviours will face a three-strike warning and may be asked to leave and have their membership revoked. Signatories are to receive a charge for any expense of damaged incurred if property or equipment is vandalised
  8. The use of drugs, alcohol or smoking in the building is strictly forbidden
  9. We ask that students keep their mobile phones on silent during classes
  10. Students may be required to attend extra rehearsals near to show time. If the student does not attend a sufficient amount of rehearsals or refuses to purchase the required costume, they will not be able to perform in the showcase
  11. Parents are not permitted to stay in the room while classes are taking place. This enables the classes to run without any disturbance or distractions
  12. We ask that guardians drop off and collect their children on time to avoid large gatherings outside the classrooms. Infants and juniors will not be released until their guardian is insight
  13. If you are going to be late for collection, please notify the teacher during drop off or contact the Nupur Arts reception. Please note teachers can only supervise pupils whilst in class
  14. For infant and junior groups, we advise parents to arrive at the Nupur Arts reception to collect their children as opposed to waiting outside in the car park/other parts of the building
  15. We ask that you respect the ongoing classes and request all queries to be asked at reception as opposed to the class teachers
  16. Please refrain from contacting teachers personally outside of class time. All queries are to go through the Nupur Arts contact

Payments

  1. Payments can be made via online bank transfer, cash or cheque
  2. Members can pay either termly or annually: annual payments are to be made at least 2 weeks before the new academic year starts, termly payments are to be made at least 2 weeks prior to the new term starting
  3. If the payment is not received before the first session, the student cannot attend the class
  4. Failure to pay fees on time will result in a late fee surcharge and continuous avoidance of payment will result in termination of membership
  5. Please note termly fees are non-refundable unless given a valid circumstance and when necessary, proof of reasoning e.g. a doctor’s note for a long-term injury. Fees may be carried over to the following term or refunded under certain circumstances, at our discretion
  6. Refunds can be given for those paying annually if given at least one terms notice*
  7. Refunds cannot be given on one-off classes missed by participants including during times of examinations, holidays or short-term illness
  8. If a teacher cannot make a class due to illness, every effort will be made to find a replacement teacher.  If this is not possible either a make-up class will be scheduled, or the appropriate amount will be refunded off the following term’s bill
  9. Exam fees cannot be refunded
  10. Students wishing to terminate their membership with Nupur Arts can do so through written confirmation via email and need to give at least one terms notice (Signatories are to confirm the termination of membership for students under the age of 18)
  11. *Early retirement of contracts for annual payment package will sacrifice any discounts received. Discounts applied and any remaining balances will need to be repaid, together with an administration fee of £15

Safeguarding and safety

  1. Nupur Arts follows the Child Protection Policy and Health and Safety Policy which is available upon request
  2. All staff and teachers have a clear and regulated Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
  3. Young children may require a member of staff to accompany them to the toilet
  4. All injuries will be recorded in the Accident book and first aid equipment is available on site
  5. Nupur Arts teachers encourage safe practice and attempt to minimise all risks of physical injury however guardians and students are to accept that physical activities may carry the risk of personal injury. Nupur Arts can’t be held responsible for any injury at fault of the student
  6. Please adhere to Nupur Arts’ Covid-19 policy and government guidelines during classes

Data Protection

  1. For promotional and documentation purposes, students and parents/guardians may be photographed or videoed during classes and performances
  2. All guardians and students consent to being filmed and photographed during classes and events which may be used by Nupur Arts and any other collaborative organisations
  3. No photography or videography of students in class is permitted by students/guardians unless given prior permission
  4. All choreography is copyrighted by Nupur Arts. Students must not perform or teach dance pieces learnt in class without prior consent from the Artistic Director of Nupur Arts
  5. We will not disclose your information to third parties outside of Nupur Arts except where the law requires or where you have given your explicit permission to do so. For further information please see our data policy

Disclaimers

  1. Refunds will not be given in the event of natural disasters, epidemics or national crises, or any circumstances over which we have no control
  2. The Peepul Enterprise is a public building and therefore Nupur Arts cannot be held responsible for students once they leave the Nupur Arts reception premises
  3. Nupur Arts are not held responsible for any theft or damage of personal possessions either onsite, in the car park or at any Nupur Arts events. We ask that all students/carers take responsibility of their personal possessions
